The Chestnut Hill Historical Society invites you to view the exciting photographic exhibit "Then and Now: The Changing Face of Germantown Avenue"

September 20, 1999 thru January 6, 2000

Opening Monday, September 20 the exhibit features past and current photos of key properties along Germantown Avenue that document both preservation successes and failures as property owners have responded to the changing nature of retail demands.

Using photographs from the archives of the Chestnut Hill Local and our extensive collections, the historical society is presenting this exhibit curated by founding member, Nancy Hubby. Initially sponsored by the Chestnut Hill Community Association as part of its 50th anniversary activities, the show also will include photos displayed in store windows on Germantown Avenue.

You are invited to view the primary exhibit at the headquarters of the Chestnut Hill Historical Society, 8708 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, Monday thru Friday, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Hope you can stop by and learn more about this unique and dynamic community.
